Bubba and Cathy have been on the field since 2006. They served over a decade in Sudan/South Sudan and nearly 7 years in Jordan. In 2024 they moved to Cozumel, Mexico, a small island in the Yucatan State. Their focus is Christ, Community and Church. They want to see Cozumel reached for Christ. They attend Waves of Grace Church and have a desire to be plugged in helping the church become missions minded. The Hoelzers enjoy marketplace ministry as it affords them the opportunity to plug deeply into the community. They are working as volunteers with Sand Dollar Sports, a scuba center that is also involved in coral reef and sea turtle conservation activities. Bubba and Cathy are helping them with social media and website development, just as they did in Jordan. They will also spend the first year in language school so they may be able to communicate the Gospel in the heart language of their friends and neighbors.
