The Duncans serve in Chiang Mai, Thailand. James serves with a campus ministry whose goal is to see university students transformed by the gospel and nurtured to be reproducing disciple-makers in communities throughout Thailand and beyond. James is also a software developer and graphic designer who serves on a small team of programmers and technologists to support mission agencies in Southeast Asia. Laurie serves on the Chiang Mai Birthing Team as a doula. The ministry provides free childbirth classes, breastfeeding classes, clothing and other birth related resources, labor coaching, and postpartum support. Many of the expecting families are unbelievers, but they get to experience the love of Christ very tangibly through the birth team’s services. Laurie has also home educated their eight children over the past 15 years and counting, with their oldest having already graduated high school and now attending school in the states.
